The two bedroom ground floor apartment is situated at the back of the main house. We created it from what had been a spare room, a store room and a garage. Click here for the apartment floor plan (which includes the ground floor of the main house).
It has its own entrance through southwest facing double glazed french doors that lead straight into the kitchen / living room. The bedrooms lie to either side of the living room.
Outside a covered terrace runs the length of the apartment and a patio and graveled garden area lie beyond, shaded by mature trees that offer a welcome respite from the summer heat.
The kitchen / living room is fitted with a large work surface, with dark wood cupboards and drawers below and wall cupboards above. There is single sink with a detachable mixer tap beneath a double opening window. A built-in fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven and extractor hood are all included in the sale.
The apartment has two double bedrooms. One has shuttered french doors out onto the terrace and garden at the rear whilst the other has a shuttered window with the view extending towards Sulmona and the Gran Sasso mountains beyond.
The apartment bathroom contains a shower cubicle, a toilet, a bidet and a hand basin with a mirror, glass shelf and switchable light above. There is a shaver socket and an opening eyebrow window above the shower.
There are radiators and plenty of power points in every room. On the outside wall, beneath the terrace, is a tap and basin and power point.
The large back balcony of the house (which is the roof of the apartment) is accessible from the corner of the apartment by an external galvanised steel spiral staircase. We have offered it for the exclusive use of apartment guests.
The apartment is furnished with one double bed, two twin beds, a two-seater sofa, two easy chairs, a bookcase, TV, DVD, radio and a dining table and four chairs. There are are easy chairs, bedside cabinets, shelves and a hanging rail in both bedrooms. Outside there is a table, benches, a large sun umbrella and sun loungers.
All of the above fixtures, fittings and furniture are included in the sale as well as cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, bed linen etc. to allow a smooth continuation of the holiday business.
The apartment can be accessed from the hallway of the main house through a lockable door and we often use it as an extension to the main house, creating a five bedroom, four bathroom, two kitchen home.
